Open qualifiers

Half the bracket is won,
not given

The day before each stop, the same venue hosts an open bracket. Anyone with a licence and a medical certificate can enter, for $100. Eight survive to the main event, where the eight seeded players of the season card are waiting for them — and where $120,000 is on the table, from $2,500 for going out in the round of 16 to $40,000 for winning the night.

6–8Eight, less one for every wildcard the league brings

The qualifier is three rounds in one day, each half the size of the one before it: 64 enter, 32 remain, 16 remain, and the eight who win that round are through. The league may bring up to two wildcards to a stop — an invitation rather than a result. A wildcard joins this half of the draw and takes one of its eight places, so the field it is won from goes with it.

Season 2027 table

The table opens in Chicago

Clutch21 has not played a competitive stop yet. Every player starts the opening season on zero points. Results, standings and head-to-head records appear here from the first whistle at the Wintrust Arena on 14 March 2027.

Scoring

How the table will be built

Points are awarded by finishing position at each of the six stops. Nothing carries over from qualifiers, and nothing is seeded by reputation. The same finish decides the money: every player who reaches the round of 16 leaves with something, and the champion of a night takes $40,000.

Finish at a stopPoints Prize
Winner 100 $40,000 ×1
Runner-up 70 $20,000 ×1
Semi-final 45 $10,000 ×2
Quarter-final 30 $5,000 ×4
Round of 16 15 $2,500 ×8

A player is paid once, for the round they go out in — the prizes are not added up along the way. $120,000 is paid out at every stop and at the Finals.

Tie-breaks

If two players finish level

  1. Stop wins. Outright victories at a city stop come first.
  2. Head-to-head. The result between the two players, if they have met.
  3. Point difference. Points scored minus points conceded across the season.
Why it matters. A stop win is worth 100 points and there are only six of them. One good night in March can carry a player to the Las Vegas Finals in November.

The opening field

The Season 2027 field

One player is signed to the opening season. Thirteen more are announced and not yet contracted. Eight further places at every stop go to the open qualifier held the day before, and to the two wildcards the league may bring.

Think you can go to 21?

Two ways in. Open qualifiers run in every host city the day before each Pro stop — sixteen spots, no seeding, no favours. The World Series is open to every licensed athlete, and it starts in your own city.
